When it comes to waiting for release dates, I have absolutely no patience at all. Zero, none, not the slightest bit. So news this morning (via THR) that Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is being pushed back from April 23rd to September 24th is just really depressing. Especially after the trailers looked so promising.
The reason is entirely down to economics. Release your film at the optimum time to make sure people see it and put you in with a better chance for awards the following year. The trouble is, it’s like being told you’re getting a great birthday present, but that your birthday is now being delayed to make you want it more.
I’m still really excited for this movie, but come on! Hurry it up!
