Universal Pictures have now released the first trailer for Ridley Scott‘s Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Mark Strong, William Hurt, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, and Scott Grimes.

My first impressions are that it’s a bit mediocre. This may be because they’re only showing us the slow-mo action scenes with a hard rock soundtrack behind them. But it’s hard to distinguish this film from any other period action film. There’s nothing in this trailer that says this is a Robin Hood movie, other than the bow and arrow at the end.
